Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
1. To assess Plateau pressure, Peak pressure, Static, and Dynamic lung compliance in patients undergoing Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery using DLT (Double Lumen Tube) 2. To assess Plateau pressure, Peak pressure, Static, and Dynamic lung compliance in patients undergoing Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery using BB (Bronchial Blockers (BB)) 3. To compare the respiratory mechanics in double-lumen tube and Bronchial Blockers (BB) Timepoint: i)during two lung ventilation after (10 minutes of intubation as baseline(t1) ii)10 min after achieving OLV(t2), iii)every hourly after commencement of surgery (t3, t4, t5, t6, t7, t8, t9, t10), iv)more than 10 hrs of surgery(t11), v)end of surgery with 2 lung ventilation(t12)

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1. To assess the time taken for placement of the tube 2. Lung collapse score in Double lumen tube & Bronchial blocker 3. Postoperative sore throat between Double lumen tube & Bronchial blocker Timepoint: (1) Time required for placement of each tube is defined as starting from introduction of tube to confirmation after auscultation (2)Time at the end of surgery, surgeon will decide effectiveness of lung collapse (3)Time at one hour of extubation noted for postoperative sore throat
