Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Babies who are full term and preterm with bilirubin level above 5mg/dl. Babies who are undergoing phototherapy and exchange transfusion. Babies who weigh 1 Kg and above

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Babies who have congenital anomalies. Post term babies Parents who are not willing to participate

MeasureTime frame
There will be a decrease in serum bilirubin levels in pretem and full term newborn babiesTimepoint: Baseline data will be assessed on day 1 and then subsequent assessment will be done on day 2,day 3 and day 4

MeasureTime frame
There will be maintenance of tolerance of feeding & an increased frequency of defecation, urination among preterm & fullterm newborn babiesTimepoint: Baseline data will be assessed on day 1 & then subsequent assessment will be done on day 2 day 3 & day 4
