Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: All patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus, for more than 5 years duration, who visit KMC, Manipal during the study period, after obtaining informed consent
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Type 1 diabetes mellitus 2. Known case of non-diabetic kidney disease 3. Patients with acute kidney injury - as per Serum Creatinine value over the last 3 months 4. Gestational Diabetes 5. Patients with liver disease 6. Known case of pancreatic malignancy 7. Patients with acute infection 8. Inflammatory conditions 9. Hypoalbuminemia - serum albumin less than 2.5 10. Known case of Hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism
