Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.Lefort 1, 2 or 3 fractures warranting surgery under general anaesthesia 2.Mandibular fractures warranting surgery under general anaesthesia 3.ASA physical status I-II
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: • Glasgow Coma Score less than 13 • Polytrauma with Injury severity Score more than 15 • Known allergy to local anesthetics • Severe resting bradycardia (heart rate less than 45 beats/min) • Hyperkalemia (K+ more than 5 mmol/L) • Preinduction agitation or delirium. • Panfacial trauma and bilateral Lefort fractures
