Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age – 18 to 60 years. Patients of either sex. Patient of Avascular Necrosis of Femoral Head either unilateral or Bilateral upto 3nd stage. Chronicity :- 0 to 5 years. Patient Yogya for Basti karma.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patient below the age of 18 years and above the 60 years will be excluded in this clinical study. Patient with Grade 4 AVN. Chronicity of more than 5 years. Patient having systemic disease like uncontrolled HTN and DM, Cardiac disease, Tuberculosis, Severe lung disease. Pregnant and Lactating women. Patient Ayogya for Basti karma.

The efficacy of Multidimensional Ayurvedic treatment protocol in the management of Asthimajjagatavata w.s.r. to Avascular Necrosis of femoral head will be assessed. - Assessment of Sign & Symptoms i.e pain in groin (Visual Analogue Score), difficulty in walking - Lakshana of Asthimajjagata Vata (On the besis of Gradation of symptoms.) - Assessment of hip joint condition by Harris Hip Score. 70 Poor 70-79 Fair 80 – 89 Good 90 – 100 Excellent Timepoint: Follow up will be taken after completion on Basti Karma (16 days) and After Completion of Treatment(31 days)

The efficacy of Multidimensional Ayurvedic treatment protocol in the management of Asthimajjagatavata w.s.r. to Avascular Necrosis of femoral head will be assessed by subjective & objective criteria. Subjective ? Assessment of Sign & Symptoms i.e pain in groin (Visual Analogue Score), difficulty in walking. ? Lakshana of Asthimajjagata Vata (On the besis of Gradation of symptoms.) ? Assessment of hip joint condition by Harris Hip Score. Objective Criteria ? X- ray of Hip joint (AP & Lateral View) before & after treatment. ? MRI will be done wherever possible & will be compared with the previous report for objective assessment Timepoint: Follow up will be taken after completion on Basti Karma & After Completion of Treatment.
