Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients above 40 years referred to the Department of Radio diagnosis from the Department of Ophthalmology with established Diabetes Mellitus, clinically diagnosed as with and without diabetic retinopathy. Age matched normal subjects will be recruited from the persons who are accompanying the patients with no diabetes, hypertension or family history and who are willing to be included in the study.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria includes subjects who have undergone laser photocoagulation and any disease or anomaly of the eye, which may affect blood flow velocity, such as ocular inflammation, trauma, non-diabetic vascular disease and glaucoma. Subjects with a history of neurological diseases or ophthalmic surgeries. Pregnant and breast-feeding women will also be excluded.
