Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age above 65 years who are undergoing cardiac surgery LVEF > 50%

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: NYHA 4 Contraindications to intrathecal analgesia like allergy, patient refusal Preexisting chronic pain Opioid abuse psychiatric disorders Previous surgery in the thoracic vertebral region Preexisting neurological condition BMI > 35 Severe respiratory disease Expected postoperative mechanical ventilation duration pre than 6 hours Renal dusfunction
