Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients presenting with signs and symptoms of Kaphaja Abhishyanda described as per Ayurvedic texts and Vernal Keratoconjunctivitis graded on Bonini scale.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients suffering from other ocular disease such as active uveitis, previous history of ocular glaucoma or condition incompatible with the frequent assessments needed for the study. 2. Patients with severe systemic allergy. 3. History of regular alcohol or drug addiction. 4. Ocular infective pathology. 5. Patients suffering from other systemic disorders. 6. Patients with known allergy to any of the ingredients of the trial drugs and regimen.

MeasureTime frame
Changes in modified Bonini Scale for grading of signs of Vernal keratoconjuctivitis. Timepoint: 0th day, 30th day and 60th day of enrollment

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1. Changes in the overall rating of subjective ocular symptoms in VKC as compared to Baseline on a five-point scale based on BenEzra trial(1986). 2. The changes in unaided and best corrected visual acuity of VKC patients. Timepoint: 0th, 30th and 60th day of enrollment
