Intervention1: HRV Biofeedback: cardiorespiratory biofeedback for twenty minutes twice daily given to increase heart rate variability for a period of three months. Intervention2: yogic intervention:

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Primary hypertensive patients in the age group between 18-45 years on conventional treatment.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Participants with the following conditions will be excluded: 1.Patients with diagnosed secondary hypertension. 2.Patients with previous history of cardiovascular disease (stroke, myocardial infarction) 3.Pregnant females/Lactating females 4.Patient with history of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. 5.Patients on hypolipidemic drugs 6.Patient with any other acute or chronic medical/surgical/Psychiatric illness 7.Patients already performing yoga or any other deep breathing exercises.
