Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Healthy, well babies who may be breastfed or formula fed, term born, large, small or appropriate for gestational age at birth

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Weight greater than +2SD or lesser than -2SD according to WHO growth charts. 2. Clinically present edema. 3. Congenital anomalies 4. Neonatal illness requiring admission to within 30 days of study

MeasureTime frame
To simultaneously measure body composition (FM%) and DNL in infants by deuterium dilution (DD) and deuterium incorporation into fatty acids respectively.Timepoint: Single study day. Saliva and venous blood samples will be collected over a period of 4 hrs. No follow up study planned.
