Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: a. Patients diagnosed with primary pterygium. b. Adults (18 years and older)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: a. Patients with recurrent pterygium, severe ocular conditions, such as advanced glaucoma, corneal dystrophy, or significant ocular surface disease. b. Combined surgical procedures at the time of surgery like trabeculectomy, cataract surgery. c. Macular degeneration or any other retinal pathology were excluded. d. With systemic connective tissue disorders. e. Inability to give informed consent.
