Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Children in the age group of 8-14 years playing roller skating 2) Children in whom first permanent molar is erupted. 3) Children willing to participate in the study 4) Children willing to use mouthguard. 5) Children who have completed 6 months of training period in roller skating. 6) Children whose parents willing to give consent for participation in the study but not willing for the use of mouthguard by children for study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Children with over-retained teeth and crowding. 2) Uncooperative and medically compromised children 3) Children undergoing orthodontic treatment. 4) Children with proclined anterior teeth.

Prevention of Oro-facial injuries (Traumatic injuries to tooth, jaw bones & extra-oral & intra-oral soft tissue injuries) in children playing skating with use of mouthguard.Timepoint: Eighteen months

Acceptance of mouthguard by children playing skating.Timepoint: Twelve month;knowledge of parents regarding use of mouthguard by children during skating will be increased Timepoint: Twelve month
