Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) All daily waged weavers aged 30 years or more

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Already using near glasses capable of improving near visual acuity to N8 or greater 2) Unaided distance vision lower than 20/60 showing no improvement with pin hole 3) Visually significant eye disease 4) Low likelihood of completing follow-up (Assessed by asking participants whether there is any reason why they won’t be able to complete the study e.g. plans to move out of the region). 5) History of ocular surgery or trauma

MeasureTime frame
The primary outcome measure will be the surface area of cloth woven daily by the weavers given presbyopic glasses.Timepoint: 6 months

Secondary outcome measure will be the number of working hours.Timepoint: 6 months
