Intervention1: Fixed Dental Prosthesis: Indirect composite resin layered on cobalt chromium alloy used as a fixed dental prosthesis. The duration of testing the quality of survival is 1 year. Control

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients who have at least one missing posterior tooth with the presence of a distal most tooth; either side of the same arch. Patients indicated for fixed dental prosthesis. Patients having canine guided occlusion or mutually protected occlusion. Patient with normal biting habits and no parafunctional habits.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Individuals who have all posterior teeth present. Any restoration crossing the midline of a single arch. Any restoration opposing a missing space which is not rehabilitated. Implants being used as means of a restoration were not considered.

MeasureTime frame
Quality and survival of fixed dental prosthesis.Timepoint: Baseline, 3 months, 6 months, 12 months.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Marginal fit, colour matching and occlusion.Timepoint: Marginal fit and colour matching using USPHS Criteria and occlusion using T-scan.
