Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All patients aged 18 years and above receiving chemotherapy for gastric and colorectal malignancies in neoadjuvant/adjuvant/palliative setting.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: All patients who received prior chemotherapy with proven hepatic side effects. Patients with established chronic liver disease by imaging or intraoperatively– CPC B/C. All cases without a definite pathologic diagnosis All cases where relevant data is unavailable

MeasureTime frame
Percentage incidence of chemotherapy induced liver injury in patients receiving treatment for gastrointestinal malignancies.Timepoint: Evaluation will be done at baseline, 3 months after chemotherapy and at the end of treatment

MeasureTime frame
To describe the various patterns of hepatotoxicity associated with chemotherapy. Timepoint: Evaluation will be done at baseline, 3 months after chemotherapy and at the end of treatment;To compare incidence of hepatotoxicity associated with various chemotherapy regimens used in gastrointestinal malignancies.Timepoint: Evaluation will be done at baseline, 3 months after chemotherapy and at the end of treatment;To study patient, tumor and therapy related independent risk factors that can hasten the development of chemotherapy induced liver injury.Timepoint: Evaluation will be done at baseline, 3 months after chemotherapy and at the end of treatment
