Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All electively posted cases for surgery, Adult patients of age more than or equal to 18 years

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Unconscious patients, disoriented patients, Patients with simultaneous multiple IV cannula insertions, Patients with pre-existing skin diseases and burns patients, Patients with history of allergy to any medications, Patient with blood coagulopathies, Patients who come to hospital with cannula insitu
