Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: A child will be included in the study if he/she is more than 6 months old and under five years of age when consent was given, and if the child’s mother/father is the caretaker. Households with or without livestock, who are willing to participate and conform to the requirements of the study.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: The child will be excluded from the study if he/she presents visible congenital abnormality or has serious medical illnesses, or if the child or his/her mother required an extended stay in hospital after birth. Families not residing in Wardha district for at least 3 months, currently participating in another study on animal husbandry, or with a mother who did not live in Wardha when the child was born will be excluded.
