Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Participants satisfying diagnostic criteria fasting glucose level of 126 mg/dl or higher OR Postprandial glucose level of 200 mg/dl or higher. Recently diagnosed cases within a duration of 1 year. Participants willing to give informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Participants with IDDM and known cases of severe diabetes complications like CVD, Neuropathy, Nephropathy and Retinopathy. Participants undergoing any other medication for diabetes. Pregnancy and lactation.
