Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1)Patients of age 18 and 80 years 2)American society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) status I-III 3)Body mass index between 18 and 35kg/m2 4)Upper limb surgery below elbow
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1)Patient refusal 2)Inability to give consent to study 3)Coagulopathy,sepsis,hepatic or renal failure 4)Allergy to local anaesthetic 5)Pre-existing musculocutaneous/median/radial/ulnar neuropathy 6)Infection at the site of block /needle insertion site 7)Presence of rib fractures 8)Body mass index more than 35kg/m2 9)Inability to perform bed side spirometer test
