Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1 Haemoglobin less than 130gm/L males less than 120gm/L Females 2 Sr. Ferritin Raised (Male:24 to 336ng/L) (Female:24 to 336ng/L) 3 Sr. Iron 60 to 170 micrograms per deciliter (mcg/dL), 4 TIBC Raised (240 to 450 mcg/dl) 5 Patients belonging to age group of 18 -60 years of either sex irrespective of religion, socio economic status etc. 6 Patient willing and able to participate in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1 Patients with history of congenital disorders related with haemopoietic system like Leukemia and hemophilia. 2 Patients with history of other systemic diseases like uncontrolled diabetes mellitus and hypertension. 3 Patients suffering from disorder of the GIT system associated with Gastro intestinal bleeding like colorectal malignancy, gastritis, peptic ulceration and inflammatory bowel disease. 4 Patients on chronic use of aspirin and NSAIDS. 5 Pregnant and lactating women. 6 Immunocompromised Patients-HIV. 7 Patients on prolonged medication (more than 6 weeks) with corticosteroids,or any other drugs that may have influence on the outcome of the study.

Effect of annabhedi sinduram & punarnavadi mandur on subjective criteria in Subjective criteria it will be asses on the basis of symptoms of pandu mentioned in samhita Grading of clinical features G0 (grade point 0) No clinical feature/symptom G1 (grade point 1) Mild clinical feature/symptom G2 (grade point 2) Moderate clinical feature/symptom G3 (grade point 3) Severe clinical feature/symptom above scale will be used to evaluate secondary outcomeTimepoint: 1 month
