Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: a)Patient attending NIH outpatient or inpatient ward who is suffering from chronic kidney disease b)Patient age group 30 to 75 years, of any gender, of any religion, of any socio-economic background c)Patients must know Hindi, English or Bengali d)eGFR less than 90ml per min per 1.73m2 e)Serum Creatinine greater than 1.5mg/dl f)Serum Urea greater than 40mg/dl g)The patient should be willing to give written consent h)Patients willing to do all necessary laboratory tests as required

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: a)Patients undergoing dialysis b)Patients with End-stage renal disease, with very advanced pathology c)Subjects who are suffering from chronic renal failure as a result of malignant metastasis from other primary focus d)Post renal transplant patients e)Pregnant and lactating women f)Diagnosed cases of unstable mental or psychiatric illness or other uncontrolled or life-threatening illness g)Substance abuse and/or dependence
