Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: All consecutive children aged 1 month to =12 years admitted to the PICU will be enrolled.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients whose parent/ guardian refuse to give informed consent. 2. Children dying within 1 hour of PICU admission (since the PIM scores are calculated at the end of 1 hour after admission to PICU).
