Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1)Elderly aged 60 years and above 2)With self-reported insomnia or reported by family member (definition of insomnia will follow fulfilment of the A and B criteria of DSM 5 criteria for Insomnia disorder)
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: -With current history of delirium -With terminal medical illness -Parkinsons disease, dementia -Patients with documented severe mental illness- Severe depression, Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective disorder, Bipolar affective disorder, Obsessive-compulsive disorder -Obstructive sleep apnoea already on treatment -Patients with restless leg syndrome, who fulfil all 5 essential features of diagnostic criteria established by the International Restless Legs Syndrome Study Group -Patients who fulfil ICD-10 criteria for Alcohol Dependence syndrome in the last 6 months -Patients who are on medications that interfere with sleep like benzodiazapines and etizolam, stimulants -Patients who are on anti-depressants and antipsychotics and drugs for treatment of insomnia
