Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Chest radiograph within 24 h after hospital admission demonstrating features consistent with acute pneumonia At least 2 symptoms consistent with pneumonia (e.g., fever or hypothermia, rigors, sweats, new cough [with or without sputum], chest discomfort, or new-onset of dyspnea)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Hospitalised in preceding 14 days 2. Significantly immunosuppressed 3. Pregnant patients 4. Known cases of pulmonary tuberculosis 5. not consenting for study
