Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All consenting healthy, patients scheduled to undergo spinal anaesthesia during the period of study aged 19-70 years

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Non-consenting Morbidly obese patients Prior carotid disease Symptomatic cardiac disease, including arrhythmia, ischemic heart disease, valvular disease Contraindication to spinal anaesthesia Failed spinal converted to general anaesthesia Pregnancy

To correlate the relationship between ultrasound guided screening of the patient’s peak systolic velocity variability of aorta and carotid for the assessment of haemodynamic status of the patient following spinal anaesthesiaTimepoint: Baseline vitals during the ultrasound assessment and vitals at zero minutes post spinal anaesthesia .

MeasureTime frame
Volume of fluid resuscitation required as per velocity variability of aorta and carotid artery.Timepoint: Post spinal anaesthesia until 30minutes.
