Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Age 29 days to 5 days of any gender 2.Children with acute episode of wheeze caused by asthma,WALRI,Lower repiratory tract infections including,bronchiolitis and bronchopneumonia 3.Presence of moderate or severe respiratory distress based on CAS score. 4.Parents giving consent for the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Children above 5 years of age 2.Wheeze casued by airway obstruction due to anatomical causeslike foreign body,tumours,airway malformations,vascular anomalies 3.Mild repiratory distress based on CAS 4.Parents not willing and give consent for the study.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The childs distress will be assessed using Clinical Asthma Severity Score as Mild,Moderate and SevereTimepoint: Nebulisations will be given at 0 20 and 40 mins and will be reassesed at 30 and 60 mins after nebulisations.—

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To compare the sideeffects of levosalbutamol & levosalbuatamol/ipratropium bromide nebulisationsTimepoint: Nebulisation will be given at 0,20 & 40 minutes & the child will be assesed at 3Omins & 60 mins after nebulisation by Clinical Asthma Severity Score—
