Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients posted for unilateral inguinal hernia repair under spinal anaesthesia, 2. Age 18-60 years, 3. American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status I-III.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Contraindication to peripheral nerve blocks 2. Pre-existing neuropathy 3. Coagulopathy 4. BMI = 35 kg/m² 5. Chronic use of analgesics 6. Patients with cognitive impairment

| 1. Total opioid consumption (‘morphine equivalents in milligrams’) in postoperative period, 2. Intraoperative- Heart Rate (HR), Systolic Blood Pressure (SBP), Diastolic Blood Pressure (DBP), Mean Arterial Pressure (MAP) and, SpO2 every 5 minutes for the first 30 minutes of surgery and then every 15 minutes till the end of surgery, 3. Postoperative- Modified Ramsay Sedation Scale score at 0, 3rd, 6th, 12th and 24th hour, 4. Postoperative- Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) score at 0, 3rd, 6th, 12th and 24th hour, 5. Incidence of adverse effects like nausea, vomiting, hypotension, bradycardia, hematoma. Timepoint: VAS score and modified Ramsay sedation Scale score at 0, 3rd, 6th, 12th and 24th hour | — |
