Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.18to 50 years of age 2.Critically sick patients admitted in ICU.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients having acute coronary syndrome. 2.Patients with acute burn injuries. 3.Patients with terminal cancers. 4.Patients with metabolic disturbances.

To compare the accuracy of Sequential Organ Failure Assessment (SOFA) score with Base excess and Sequential Organ Failure Assessment (SOFA) score alone for prediction of mortality within 15days since the time of admission in ICUTimepoint: SOFA score alone and SOFA score with base excess measurement at 0(time of admission )then every 48hours up until 15days.

1)To determine the patients total duration of ICU stay at hospital. 2)Significance of subsequent scoring of SOFA score alone and SOFA score with base excess in critically sick patients in ICU.Timepoint: SOFA score alone and SOFA score with base excess measurement at 0(time of admission),then every 48hrs up until 15days.
