Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: • Patients of primary hypertension who are already taking antihypertensive conventional treatment, but in spite of it ; BP remains uncontrolled i.e. systolic BP =140 mmHg and diastolic BP =90 mmHg • Age group 30 – 50 years irrespective of Gender ,Socio economic status, Religion , Occupation. • Known cases of Hypertension who are taking antihypertensive medicine for not less than 30 days. • Willing to Participate in the study with written consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: • Newly diagnosed hypertensive cases. • Patients who were aware of their hypertension but have poor adherence to the therapy. • Systolic blood pressure =160 mmHg. • Diastolic blood pressure = 100 mmHg • All the patients of secondary hypertension such as those having- a)Endocrinal disorders, kidney failure b)Taking oral contraceptives, continuing on Medicines causing rise in blood Pressure c)Hypertension associated with Target organ damage or any other complications, •Pregnancy •Patients with acute surgical conditions
