Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| 1.To observe if the homoeopathic medicines can augment spontaneous stone passage (defined as no further intervention required to facilitate stone passage) in cases of ureteric calculi 2.To observe Stone Expulsion Rate [SER] of Homoeopathic medicines when prescribed according to symptom similarity Timepoint: Time frame for stone expulsion is 1-4 weeks after receiving homoeopathic medicines during which follow ups and homoeopathic prescriptions will be given to patient. A general stone expulsion rate of homoeopathic medicines in ureteric calculi management will be estimated at the end of 4 weeks. | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| 1.To manage acute ureteric colic with acute homoeopathic prescription according to symptom similarity using VAS score. 2.To form standard protocol in the Homoeopathic management of ureteric calculi. Timepoint: The secondary outcome will be pain management with VAS score If patients report with acute ureteric colic then acute homoeopathic prescription will be given, if there is no change in intensity of pain, then he/she will be given conventional pain medicines/withdrawn from study according to Urologist/General physician opinion. Time frame for acute pain management – half an hour after receiving homoeopathic medicine | — |
