Interventions

Intervention1: Cool Roof Coating: A LAM-based cool roof coating will be applied to the roofs of households randomized. The duration for the intervention will be one year. Control Intervention1: Regula

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Houses will be included if they contain two or more household members and have a roof and structure appropriate for cool roof application. Participants will be included if they are over 18 and a permanent household resident.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Houses will be excluded if they contain less than two home occupants, do not have an appropriate roof for applying the cool roof coating, are inaccessible, extensively damaged, or too unstable to allow the application of cool roof material. Participants will be excluded if they cannot communicate orally, cannot provide written or verbal informed consent, or have cognitive impairment that prevents them from meaningfully engaging with the research.
