Inclusion criteria: a) Mechanically Ventilated patients b) Age >18 years

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: a) Patients Mechanically vantilated and transferred from other centres b) Malignancy c) Chronic liver disease d) Thiamine deficiency

Correlation of PaC02-EtC02 gradient with mortality and end organ perfusion (lactate and radiological markers like IVC distensibility, LVOT, VTI, Stroke volume, VEXUS and SBP variationTimepoint: Within 1hr of intubation, 6hrs and 24hrs after intubation
