Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Children who required dental treatment under LA in both quadrants of mandibular arch. 2. Children who belonged to Frankl Positive and Definitely Positive behavior (Frankl behavior rating scale). 3. The presence of at least one parent/guardian during the procedure.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Children who require treatment under LA in only one quadrant. 2. Children with special health care needs. 3. Patients with diagnosed chronic/systemic medical conditions. 4. Known medical conditions limiting the cognitive development of the child. 5. Children with known communicative disorders or psychiatric diagnosis. 6. Lack of parental consent. 7. Absence of a Parent/Guardian during the procedure.

To evaluate and compare the efficacy of camouflaged syringe over conventional syringe on dental fear, anxiety level and pain perception of children during LA administration.Timepoint: At baseline, 7 Days

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To evaluate the satisfaction of the Parent/Guardian of the children in relation to distractive technique of camouflaged syringe and their willingness to use it again for future procedures.Timepoint: 18 months
