Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients posted for elective surgeries requiring general anesthesia. 2.Patients between the ages of 18-60years. 3.Patients belonging to American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status (ASA- PS) I, II

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients with the history of long-term use of anticonvulsants, opiates, benzodiazepines, alcohol. 2.Patients with pre existing renal, hepatic and cardiac diseases 3.Anticipated difficult intubation 4.Patients with dementia and stroke with residual neurologic deficits were excluded.
