Intervention1: morpjo: wcbhc Intervention2: Morphine continuous intravenous infusion via dosifuser: 65mg of morphine will be administered intravenously via dosifuser at a rate of 1.2mg/hr for 48hrs. C

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients undergoing laparoscopic IPOM surgeries for midline ventral hernia 2. ASA I & II 3. Age between 18 and 70years 4. Normal renal function (serum creatinine less than or equal to 1.4mg/dl)

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Postoperative pain scores-NRS at 0, 6, 12, 24, 36 and 48 hours after surgery.Timepoint: 48 hours

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1. Sedation. 2. Total morphine usage. 3. Use of alternative rescue analgesia. 4. Nausea & Vomiting. 5. Pruritus 6. Intervention for urinary retention (catheter, nursing methods) 7. Tidal volume with incentive spirometry. 8. Quality of sleep. Timepoint: 48 hours
