Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Patient undergoing elective surgery for fracture proximal end of femur. 2.Adult patients aged 20-60 Years. 3.Patients belonging to American Society Of Anesthesiologists(ASA) grade I, II. 4. Patients consenting to participate.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients included in other study 2.Non cooperative patient. 3. Patients with multi-trauma or fractures, 4.Patients on chronic opioid use or addiction 5. Contraindication to neuraxial anesthesia (e.g., coagulopathy, infection, etc.) ? Infection at the site of block ? Previous femoral bypass surgery or inguinal hernia ? History of allergy to local anesthetics or dexmedetomidine.
