Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Individuals diagnosed with Schizophrenia as per ICD 11 classification 2.Clinically stable patients with a CGI 4.Duration of illness > 2 years 5.Capacity to provide informed consent 6.Ability to communicate in Tamil

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.People who are unable to participate in a virtual session due to impairment in vision and hearing 2.Comorbid substance use or physical condition that would impair their cognition and functioning

MeasureTime frame
1.Cognition assessed using Brief Assessment of Cognition in Schizophrenia (BACS) 2.Functioning assessed using Socio-Occupational Functioning Scale (SOFS) 3.3.The baseline assessment will also include a socio-demographics questionnaire for all participants 4.Goal Attainment Scale (GAS) will be used to measure the extent to which the participants in the intervention arm have attained their goals related to functional outcome. 5.Subjective Scale to Investigate Cognition in Schizophrenia (SSTICS Tamil version) Timepoint: Subjective and objective Cognition, Functioning will be measured at baseline, end of 6 weeks ie post intervention and follow up ie at the end of 12 weeks Socio demographic and illness information will be collected only at baseline Goal Attainment will be assessed at baseline, midway during the intervention ie after 3 weeks and post intervention ie at the end of 6 weeks

1.Quality of life assessed via the Manchester Short Assessment of Quality of Life (MANSA) 2.Self-esteem using Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES)Timepoint: Quality of life and self esteem will be measured at baseline, end of 6 weeks and end of 12 weeks
