Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Persons having age between 60 years to 75 years with loco motor disabilities (commonest in all geriatric disabilities) and those who are not contraindicated for Matra Basti will be included in the present study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Persons having diseases like IHD, diabetes mellitus, autoimmune diseases, skin diseases, asthma, liver cirrhosis, chronic renal failure, malignancy, and edema of any cause will be excluded because either they are contraindicated for the Matra Basti or they add additional disabilities as compared to that caused by natural ageing.

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To slow down the process of degeneration of body tissues in elderly to maintain the overall physical strength and promote their functional capacities.Timepoint: after 45 days patients assessment will be done

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To assess the effect of Matra Basti with Narayana Taila in reducing the difficulties in performing activities of daily living old age people.Timepoint: 45 days
