Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1) Age more than or equal to 18 years 2) Patients with unilateral primary acquired nasolacrimal duct obstruction leading to chronic dacryocystitis
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1) Bilateral nasolacrimal duct obstruction 2) Secondary acquired nasolacrimal duct obstruction 3) Canalicular and common canalicular obstruction 4) Acute dacryocystitis 5) Patients on topical or systemic antibiotics within 1 week prior to surgery 6) Blepharitis, conjunctivitis 7) Nasal disorders leading to nasolacrimal duct obstruction 8) Previous nasal or nasolacrimal surgery 9) Patients who require intraoperative use of silicone tube
