Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients undergoing extremity revascularization for ischemia with incision made in the groin. 1) Age 18-80 years 2) Willing to give consent for participating in the RCT.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients where Redo exposure is done. Patients who expired following procedure.

To assess other factors which contributed for infection. Associated comorbidities like gangrene in foot, associated wound infection, DM, HTN, COPD and body mass index (BMI). • To study the type of microbial flora cultured from wound up to 30 days post operatively • To study association of SSI with the type of graft used (autogenous tissue or prosthetic) and length of wound.Timepoint: POD 2, 4, 7, 14 AND 28
