Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Age: 12-25 years. 2.Patients who could follow specific brushing techniques as instructed by the researcher. 3.Patients undergoing fixed orthodontic treatment from at least 6 months. 4.Patients with all erupted permanent teeth except third molars. 5.Patients with minimal crowding (up to 3 mm). 6.Patients who were willing to sign informed consent (self/parent/guardian).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Individuals with special needs. 2.Patient with adverse oral habits such as smoking, tobacco chewing, nail biting. 3.Patients with diseases or under drugs which affects the gingiva. 4.Patients with carious or restored permanent central incisors, canines or first molars. 5.Provision of any periodontal treatment in the past 6 months and during the period of clinical trial. 6.Pregnant or lactating women.
