Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.In all diagnosed cases of metabolic syndrome according to National cholesterol education programmed guidelines[NCEP ATP 3] and IDF criteria with any one of lipid profile abnormality. 2.Total cholesterol above 200mg/dl 3.LDL-cholesterol above 100mg/dl 4.Triglycerides above 150mg/dl 5.HDL cholesterol below 40mg/dl for men and 50/dl for women 6. Atherosclerosis cardiovascular disease [ASCVD] risk score of 5-19.9% using ACC/AHA CV Risk calculator 7. Patients will be taken irrespective of socioeconomic status. 8. Patients who gave consent form and willing to take part after knowing the study protocol will be included.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1) Patients with a. LDL cholesterol above 190mg/dl, b. triglycerides above 500mg/dl. c. Patients of diabetes with HbA1C more than 8%. 2) Patients on insulin treatment. 3) Patients with HTN grade 2,3 and serious cardiac illness, chronic kidney disease. 4) Patients who need emergency medical intervention.
