Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Clinical-—lower limb pains, knock-knees, Delayed eruption and enamel hypoplasia Thorax Rachitic rosary, pigeon chest/pectus carinatum, and Harrison groove. Biochemical evidence Serum values of 25-hydroxyvitamin D3- below 30 nmol/L (12 ng/mL) up to 50 nmol/L (20 ng/mL). xxxvii Radiological findings consistent with the diagnosis of rickets- X-ray wrist and/or knee—widening of the growth plate, generalized osteopenia, metaphysis show cupping, splaying, and fraying.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Documented causes of rickets other than that of nutritional origin rickets. History of consuming calcium or vitamin D supplements in the preceding six months. Patients with confirmed or suspected diagnosis of malabsorption or chronic kidney or hepatic disease. Patients who have underwent steroid treatment for more than 6 months
