Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Patients requiring fixed orthodontic treatment. 2) Age 14 to 25 years 3) Patients with good oral hygiene. 4) Healthy patients without any medication 5) Patients requiring premolar extraction

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Patients with systemic health issues. 2) Patients taking antibiotics, sialogogues and antisialogogues. 3) Patients with habits such as smoking, pan chewing, gutka, etc 4) Patients with congenital deformity. 5) Patients requiring surgical intervention or dentofacial orthopedics. 6) Treatment with removable and functional appliances. 7) Patients with diseases where salivary flow is affected such as Sjögren Syndrome, ectodermal dysplasia, chronic sialadenitis, etc
