Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. patients belonging to ASA grade I, II. 2. Patients posted for surgery under general anaesthesia 3. AGE - 18-60 years of age 4. SEX - Male and Female
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: history of allergic to local anaesthetic agents Patients with coronary artery disease Difficult airway hypertensive patients on two or more medications BMI greater than 30

Timepoint: To assess baseline heart rate and blood pressure and the variations after the administration of the test drug, during intubation, 2 minutes, 4 minutes, 6 minutes, 8 minutes and at 10 minutes after intubation. | — |
