Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| The primary objective is to study the expression of melatonin MT1 and MT2 receptors in the Ca esophagus. The expected outcome of the study is to establish the expression pattern of melatonin receptors MT1 and MT2 in carcinoma of the esophagus and to determine their correlation with the tumor grade. Overall, the study aims to provide insight into the potential of melatonin as a therapeutic agent as well as a prognostic marker for esophageal cancer.Timepoint: 0-4 MONTHS: procurement of consumables 5-18 MONTHS: collection of tissue samples and implementation of the lab procedures. 18-24 months: Analysis and compilation of results, writing the manuscript and presentation. | — |
