Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Adults between 18 and 24 years old, 2. Football players who are involved in regular coaching training programme, 3. Body mass index between 18 and 25 and, 4. Good health status confirmed by a medical screening.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Intake of any medication or nutritional supplement that is proven to affect exercise performance other than the supplementation which the scholar will provide, 2. Intake of analgesic, anti-oxidants, or anti-inflammatory agents prior 2 weeks from the start of the study, 3. Players consuming more than 3 alcoholic beverages per day will be excluded from the study, 4. Blood donation within 3 months before the start of the study, smoking, and other tobacco products. 5. Current participation in another research trial and any other argument to believe that the subject is unlikely to complete the full study protocol will be excluded from the study.

Experimental Group after the intervention of Withania Somnifera supplementation, Total Testosterone,Blood Hemoglobin, Cortisol, VO2 Max , Linear sprint, Change of Direction, Counter movement jump may be significant at 0.05 after the 8 weeks and control group with no or little change in the above variables.Timepoint: Week 0- Baseline Test of variables Week 8- Posttest

Time point for the effectiveness of WS supplementation during the week 2-3, 4-6 accordingly among the variables: Interaction of the intervention i.e. the attrition of the players which may occur due other environmental factors, significant imporvement across the non interventional group.Timepoint: Week 1-7
