Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All patients undergoing surgery under general anaesthesia.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1)Patient not willing to participate/not giving consent. 2)Patients with sternal deformities. 3)Patients with hand deformities.

• To determine if the lower border of the patient’s own hand corresponds with the midpoint of the sternum when placed in such a manner that the upper border of the hand is aligned with suprasternal notchTimepoint: none

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1. Midpoint of the sternum with clothes by the above method. 2. Correlation if any between the thickness of patient’s own hand with body weight, height, BMI. (the thickness will be measured at the junction where the fingers meet the palm) Timepoint: none
