Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To determine the effect of timing of intra-aortic balloon pump placement on mortality in patients admitted to cardiac ICU with cardiogenic shock.Timepoint: Until in ICU

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To determine the effect of timing of intra-aortic balloon pump placement on organ dysfunction, length of ICU and hospital in patients admitted to cardiac ICU.Timepoint: Until in ICU;To determine the factors associated with mortality in patients requiring intra- aortic balloon pump placement who are admitted to cardiac ICU with cardiogenic shock.Timepoint: Until in ICU
