Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Systemically healthy patients Patients with moderate chronic periodontitis and plaque index scores of 1.5–3 Dentition with = 20 teeth (minimum of five teeth per quadrant)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Any known systemic disease or condition, smokers, pregnant and lactating mothers, or patients who have undergone oral prophylaxis in the last 6 months. Patients who have received antibiotics in the past 8 weeks. Patients who are already using mouthwash. Patients who have hypersensitivity to CHX mouthwash.
